I have a somewhat similar process. I haven’t come up with a name for it but I think scheduled flow is a good way to talk about it. For me, it has turned into a kind of ritual. I used to think that the flow of creativity could not be called and that artists and other creators were simply subject to the timing of the muses. But I have since come to believe that ritual, which is sort of what you’re describing, can be an excellent catalyst.
